Our sunflowers are growing quite tall now!

Our caterpillars

We have caterpillars in our room, to watch grow and to help us learn about their life cycle. They have grown 3 times their size in 2 weeks!

Snake skin comes to school!

Thank you to Honnie who brought in a snake skin for us to look at. It helped the children to understand how animals, including the caterpillars in our class, shed their skin when they grow.

What do plants need to grow?

We designed our own inviestigation to test our theory that plants need water, light and soil/food to grow. The children decided that they should give seeds some, all or none of the conditions neded and see what happens.

Left and right turns

We have been learning to programme a robot to do a right angled turn before sending it forward. We practiced by telling each other how to move around a grid.

Van Gogh Art

We have been looking at the style of Van Gogh's artwork. We practised mixing colours with white to change the shades, and then used cotton buds to make a dabbing effect.
